As its name indicates, the shell chair has been designed by looking at how an organism in nature develops its structure. Layer by layer like a tree or a sea shell, and based on a repetitive but adaptable equation, the 4mm wire rods forming the seat, follow the circular rim of the chair. Equally, we wanted the chair to have a very straightforward and welcoming appearance. Symmetry, minimal structure and comfort characterise this outdoor and indoor seat .

Noon studio is a Taiwan and Avignon based design office, formed by two designers, Gautier Pelegrin and Vincent Taiani. After studying industrial product processes in the south of France together (1999-2001), they wait for five years before deciding to share their experiences and collaborate. Noon Studio’s design ethos is centred on the use of honest materials, simplicity of execution, forward thinking and spatial awarness.

The shop was conceived as a jewellery box that encompasses the timber panels on the perimeter walls to the central glass display table. The lighting on the jewels is an important factor in this scheme. Drawing inspiration from Gio Ponti’s cabinet designs and Fato lamp, the lighting in the shop is designed to be indirect. The jewels are either back or side lit.

Stool designed for Decode London at VW+BS constructed from three U-shaped supports of 8mm steel rod that are reinforced with three identical diagonal braces which also act as footrests. Black or white matt powder-coat frame with chromed footrest. Seat in perforated mesh with optional upholstered seat pad.

The striking sculptural canopy has been created from a simple everyday object, the polystyrene cup, and plays with ideas of modularity, light and materiality.Designed at VW+BS.
