A Lathed wooden lamps with rotating lid which act as a dimmer to control the light intensity. The lamp takes inspiration in traditional wood vases turned by hand in Asia. We combined a traditional material, manufactured by hand, with a modern source of light to create a certain familiarity.
Dimming the light by hand brings a functional tactile experience .The jar is containing the light as an element, as if it could escape, the lid delicately control its release.
