An exercise to create a physical and cultural bridge between two famous chairs, the Hans Wegner Wishbone Chair and the Traditional chinese Horseshoe-back chair from the 17th-18th century.
Concepts brief was to create a chair which will use the natural flexibility of bamboo stripes, stackable, confortable by today’s standard, and a respect and use of the bamboo as it is : a natural and flexible grass that needs to be treated differently than wood.
